Windsor Pocket Watch

Overview

The first pocket watches were made for royal families by master clockmakers, and they were more like small clocks than modern watches. By the 19th century, pocket watches were de rigueur for the well-appointed gentleman and the workingman alike. This old-fashioned pocket watch harkens back to the days when any man worth his salt had a mechanical watch in his pocket, attached for safety on a slender chain. Must be wound every day, a ritual shared by pocket watch carriers for generations. With a clear face so you can watch the mechanic movements in real time.

Disappointment

Comments about Windsor Pocket Watch:

Initially it worked well, but it stopped working after three days. It might have been overwound, but there was no indication that this was about to happen -- there was no resistance. It was poorly made.

Comments about Windsor Pocket Watch:

I bought it as a gift, and it ran well for three days, then it stopped working altogether. Apparently the winding mechanism is broken, but there was no indication (i.e. resistance) that it was being overwound.
