Equipped with a powerful LED micro-light, this clever explorer's watch has a built-in carabiner that clips right onto belt loops, packs, and more, keeping the time and a light source within reach as you travel.

Luminescent hands and hour markers provide visibility in all kinds of conditions.

  • Uses one 376 watch battery and one LR1131 watch battery (both included). We recommend having a jeweler replace the battery. The case is intentionally challenging to open in order to better protect the mechanism and increase the watch's water resistance.
  • 1 1/2''W x 3''L x 1/4''D
  • 3 oz
  • Water-resistant to 100 feet.

Great Product

This watch is sturdy and strong it fits on my belt loop nicely. I highly recommend this watch especially if you need your hands free for other things.

This is the 2nd carabiner I've purchased - love it1

I do not like to wear a watch therefore the carabiner clip watch is perfect. I have one I wear on my jeans and one on my purse. I like that it is "upside down" so I can just look down (instead of twisting my arm & wrist around) to check the time! It is convenient and attractive. I also bought an extra one for a gift.

A costly item

I bought this watch 2 yrs ago without instructions. When the battery needed replacing, I found only a skilled jeweler or manufacturer could replace the battery at a hefty shipping fee. With the limited fuctionality, this watch is not worth a constant maintenance fee. Lesson learned!

Great timpiece

I bought this watch for my husband who works outside. He loves this timepiece as he can't wear a regular watch during work. It's perfect for him as he clips it onto his carharrts strap and can easily read the time. Yes, the paint is beginning to wear off . . . but we actually like it better as it looks more rugged that way :-)

Good buy

I'm a nurse and I've had this watch for about 2 years. I wash my hands about 50x a day, I've never really liked using a wrist watch. The watch stopped and I thought it was the battery. Brought to to get new battery placed, and the watch repair man showed me that the battery was good--and that the internal mechanics were bad. He couldn't repair it.

Watch is worthless

I am not an outdoors man and I did not abuse this watch. I asked for the watch for Christmas 18 months ago to use during the summer months so I would not have to wear a watch band. The first thing that failed was the mirco light, then the paint wore off, and now the hands have fallen off and in the time I have own it I only used it for about 7 months and again I don't do a lot of strenuous activity that hurt the watch. I am very dissappointed and will not order from National Geographic again.

I really like these watches. I have one on my golf bag and one on my flyfishing vest. I have brought them as gifts for friends also. I am impressed with the very high quality.

Takes getting beaten

I just destroyed my third watch of this style. i keep it hooked to my PFD while kayaing, and it gets rinsed with fresh water after I get home. That's all the care it gets. By the time these 3 watches (one after the other) have died, they have taken so much punishment that it's hard to tell what color they were originally- most of the anodized color has worn off. This is an unreasonable environment for a watch, and I am thrilled to find a watch which will last 2-3 years in this environment. Still, if I can find the paperwork from the last purchase, I may send the watch back under the warranty. I definitely need one as the GPS I use (I have only gone through one of them, and two VHF radios in this time) has a screen that's hard to read as far as time goes.

Heavy Duty

If this heavy duty looking and feeling watch live up to years of heavy use then it is a real bargain for the money. We'll see.

Durable, Handy Pocket Watch

As someone who doesn't like to wear jewelry, the carabiner clip watch is a terrific pocket watch that I can put on my key chain and readily tell what time it is. It took a long time for me to find a pocket watch that is as attractive and durable as the carabiner clip watch. The only drawback I have found is that replacing the batteries can be almost as expensive as buying a new watch. Nonetheless, given the reasonable price and versatility of this watch, it can't be beat.
