Overview

In Port Protection there are no roads, but in this remote, fog-shrouded town in Southeast Alaska, a small band of extraordinary people struggle together to subsist off land and sea. The stakes are high. The land is rugged and unforgiving, but with the risk comes a reward more profound than mere survival: a world of beauty and freedom with the security of community and a life of self-reliance.

Episodes include Between Water and Wolves, Out of Luck.

Comments about Port Protection 2-DVD-R Set:

I watch this program and others to avoid regular TV with all the (almost unbearable) commercials. This program is interesting, the scenery is beautiful and the videographers are real artists, with their use of slow motion, time lapse videoing, close-up and distance shots and evident use of drone shots. The music is also appropriate for different scenes and never overpowers the voice of the people when they talk.
