National Geographic photographer Michael Nichols uses highly specialized remote-camera systems to obtain remarkable images of wildlife behavior. Triggered by heat and movement, these simplified all-weather cameras take multiple images to capture backyard wildlife. Each has a wide-angle lens with 60-degree field of view and two test modes and will run for 21 days of 24-hour operation before needing fresh batteries. The 35-mm model features a 30-foot-range flash, 1- to 60-minute pause time between activations, and time/date stamp. The digital VGA and 2.0 MP models feature a 15-foot-range flash, 1- to 20-minute pause time between activations, and a built-in 8-MB memory for the VGA model and 16 MB for the 2.0 MP model, and can be expanded with the optional SD card. Batteries not included.
