This set of six hearts features the characters for passion, peace, beauty, love, prosperity, and longevity. Included is a card explaining each symbol. The game of mah-jongg was invented in the Ningbo area during the 1850s and became a popular parlor game in the U.S. in the early 20th century. Made from vintage bone and bamboo mah-jongg tiles.
