Fifty years after the first climb, this two-sided map shows Everest in unprecedented detail.

Side one depicts a digital model of Mount Everest created from infrared images taken by the Space Shuttle and stereo photographs taken from a jet aircraft.

Side two shows a map of Sagarmatha National Park and describes the Sherpas and special locations in the area with images of the landscape and wildlife. Three inset maps detail the growth in visitors to the region and the routes taken by climbers of Everest.
