Handmade in Bolivia for more than 3,000 years, woven wool mantas are used for infant slings, bedding, shawls, and more. They can last for generations, and are among the most versatile of Bolivia's domestic arts. Artisans collect swatches of vintage mantas and pair them with rich suede and dark leather to create a tote bag with a one-of-a-kind history. This suede tote features side panels made of this textured material and a peek of pattern near the handles. Large enough to hold files, guidebooks, and magazines, this bag functions as a handy carry-on for the frequent traveler. Also has an inner pocket and a zip top. As each manta is unique, color and pattern will vary. Handmade by artisans in Bolivia. 11 1/2"W x 12 1/4"H x 4"D. Handles are 12 1/2"L. Read more about mantas and the Quechua artisan below.
