A nighttime view of a mountain lion pausing on a ledge inside a swirled rock chasm in Arizona. The lions have inhabited Arizona's wild lands for centuries, camouflaged splendidly by the sandy red hues of the rocky Southwest. Largely nocturnal, mountain lions are top-level predators killing and eating primarily deer, but also elk, livestock, and other domestic animals. The great cat climbs well and is an excellent jumper, often dropping from limbs onto its prey. 20'' x 16''.
