A relaxed leopard lounges in a tree, its paws and tail dangling. Leopards in Africa are aware of other hunters and often hide their food high among the branches of trees out of reach from packs of hyenas and lions. The leopard's domain has a wider range than other large cats, reaching throughout Asia and all of sub-Saharan Africa, however it is still a threatened animal in many areas. The leopard pictured here is from the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. 16'' x 20''.
