National Geographic Cheetah Poster
The cheetah is the ultimate large cat, the fastest sprinter on Earth. Built for speed with a sleek, streamlined greyhound-like body, this cat can reach up to 70 miles an hour, although for short distances only. The name ''cheetah'' comes from a Hindi word meaning ''spotted one.'' At one time they commonly roamed India, Asia, and all of Africa. Now the cheetah population lives mostly in the grasslands of sub-Saharan Africa. Unlike other large cats, the cheetah is a quiet cat who purrs rather than roars. This cheetah poses in the plains of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. 16'' x 20''.

Not available for shipment outside of the U.S. and Canada.
