National Geographic Young Bengal Tiger Poster
Tigers around the world are endangered, and no one knows how many wild tigers are alive today. In the wild they live in dense forest, savannas, and grassland. The Bengal (or Indian) tiger is the most populous of the remaining tiger species. But the Bengal tiger population has declined so dramatically in the last 50 years that the Indian government has established sanctuary parks with good habitat and plenty of natural prey. Tigers have been hunted for their skins and for traditional Asian medicines founded in superstition. Some experts believe there are more big cats in captivity than in the wild. 20'' x 16''.
