Domino tiles date back to around A.D. 1120 during China's Song dynasty, but the name comes from the black-and-white Venetian carnival masks called domini. Our version of the game combines European-style black resin tiles with a 19th-century–inspired antiqued Chinese leather case featuring a hand-painted image of a dragon in the clouds on the lid. The tiles have red and white "pips" indicating point value and are used to play many games, including the popular Pai Gow. 7''W x 3 1/4''H x 5''D
