This vintage-look duffel backpack shows your dedication to the National Geographic Society’s goals of research, education, conservation, and exploration. The roomy stash-and-go style features a drawstring top with a single strap for wearing it over your shoulder, as well as a comfort handle that makes it easy to grab from an overhead compartment on a bus or plane. One large internal zippered pocket keeps essentials easy to grab. The entire bag is designed in the three-colored stripes of the official Society flag.
About the Society's Flag The National Geographic flag features three bands in blue, brown, and green, representing sky, earth, and sea. It was designed in 1903 by Elsie Grosvenor, the wife of then-editor Gilbert H. Grosvenor, who wanted something easily identified from afar. The first flag went on assignment with the 1903 Ziegler Polar Expedition to the Arctic and continues to accompany National Geographic Explorers around the world.
