Artisans in both Belgrade and Blace, Serbia, make our lightweight merino wool cardigan, graced front and back with floral patterns inspired by the embroidered skirts and aprons (called pregace) of Serbian folk costume. Although it was not uncommon for women in rural villages to wear traditional dress every day as recently as the 1980s, today the detailed garments are more likely to be found at festivals as an expression of cultural pride.
