Irish Wool Military Cardigan
This hearty forest green cardigan takes its inspiration from military-style Irish sweaters, often worn by volunteers who fought with the British in WWII. Although Ireland was neutral and relations with Britain were strained, thousands of men and women chose to join the Allied cause as members of the British Royal Army and Merchant Navy, or by working in British factories. Our contemporary version uses rich leather to enhance frequent wear points, ensuring years of rugged outdoor wear. Leather shoulders help keep expedition gear and luggage straps from slipping off. Front slash pockets add functionality and make this sweater an alternative to a jacket on milder winter days. Pure Irish wool, knit in Ireland. Men’s sizes M (38-40), L (42-44), XL (46-48).
