Inspired by the work shirts worn by generations of men living and working in the remote Australian outback, this supertough cotton canvas shirt with leather collar is designed to withstand the rigors of serious adventure travel and outdoor active lifestyles. The dense weave of its long-life canvas fabric keeps you protected from thorns and other hazards, and it won't tear or snag on rugged hikes. Generous pockets keep travel essentials close, and the cotton surface only gets softer and more comfortable with each washing. With shoulder epaulets for bag or camera straps.
Imported. Men's sizes M (38-40), L (42-44), XL (46-48).
Machine wash.

Best price and best quality!

Comments about Explorer's Rugged Canvas Shirt:
Normally I wear a large, but based on the other reviews I ordered a medium- the shirt fits perfectly! I'm 5"8" 190lbs. When I raise my arms over my head the shirt is more than long enough that it stays tucked in and it's just roomy enough without feeling baggy. The material is a very thick fine woven cotton canvas that feels like it should last a decade- definitely stiff and scratchy brand new but it's 100% cotton so it should soften with each washing. I've never seen a shirt made out of cotton this thick- definitely has a very rugged outback look and feel to it.
The shirt is made by Kakadu Traders Australia and National Geographic's sale price of 59.99 is the best price I've found- just wish they carried the other colors- I would order them all at this price. Kakadu refers to it as an 'Overshirt' and all the photos I've seen show it being worn over other shirts/sweaters- which may help explain why it's oversized.

Too expensive and too large

Comments about Explorer's Rugged Canvas Shirt:
Far to expensive as Fedex wil sent you and additional invoice for the shipment to Belgium. You will not be warned by NG while ordering, and they don't care.
I think L in the states is XL in Europe, so it's to big for me.
The color is also a bit diffrent.

Comments about Explorer's Rugged Canvas Shirt:
This is probably the best, most rugged, and stylishly utilitarian article of clothing I have ever purchased. The workmanship and attention to detail is evident in every stitch. The ONLY drawback is the sizing. I am 6'5" and weigh 210 lbs. You'd think I'd get an XL, because that's what I usually get. But no, I practically SWIM in the large. I had to have it tailored to make it fit better because a medium would have been too short. If you're quite stout, the shirt will be fine. If you're athletic or slim, consider tailoring it. It's still worth it, but I'd really like to see slimmer cuts. It's just too baggy to be practical in the field.
