Alexander the Great Coin Necklace
This 18-karat-gold-plated pendant reproduces a drachma coin minted during the peak of Alexander the Great’s reign as ruler of the Greek Empire, 336 to 323 b.c. Hercules is depicted wearing the lion’s skin, which symbolized his victories in battle, a practice that Alexander adopted himself. On the reverse, Zeus is enthroned holding an eagle and a scepter inscribed with the name “Alexander.” 14-karat-gold-plated sterling silver chain.
