Jaipur artisan Bhavesh is part of a family that has worked with precious stones since the city was founded in 1727. He hand-sets a rainbow of gemsgarnet, citrine, peridot, amethyst, onyx, moonstone, carnelian, and pearlin a sunburst pattern framed in 22-karat gold vermeil.

Bhavesh was born and raised in Jaipur, where his family has worked with gemstones for generations. After studying business and French in college, he began designing jewelry. “It was not difficult for me, since I knew a great deal about gems and their settings. I think it was in my blood,” he says. Today he employs five artisans in his own workshop, and has exhibited his designs in Paris to great acclaim.
