I did not like this DVD that much. The content was not like what I was expected! Well, the problem with NATGeo DVD's is that when they sell their DVD's they do not really tell you what is inside it! and does not tell you or give you a preview of the DVD. If I knew the content from the beginning (when I wanted to buy it online) I would not buy it since this is not the one that I was expecting and looking for. Thanks

My students couldn't get over how much was wasted making the video. Many of the examples of how much we use could have been computer generated. Alot of fuel, man hours, etc wasted!

This is a good resource if you want to look at how much a person uses in their lifetime. How it was presented was interesting, going from birth to death. I like to use this in my classroom to talk about our impact on the environment.

I have two complaints. One, the visuals are a bit overly drawn out. They could be shorted a bit and still have an impact. Maybe by zooming our or panning faster.

My other complaint is that the packaging has the "CC" label indicating that it is closed captioning. An interpreter in my classroom and I spent five minutes trying to figure out where we could turn on the subtitles, but there was no option to do so. If you are going to advertise closed captioning, then actually put it in. This isn't the first National Geographic video I've seen that has been produced in the last ten years that doesn't included subtitles. Quite disappointing for such valuable educational tools.

The visuals in this video really make an impact on how much we rely on our natural resources. This should be required viewing in all high schools and for anyone running for public office!
