This is one amazing idea, fantastic collection of the different areas in the US! Some of them are older than others, but at the end of the day they make you open your eyes a bit more about the areas. Now if you have done extensive research on an area it will more than likely not give you anything NEW per say, but that doesn't mean that they lack content at all. Overal an AMAZING collection! Just note the casing feels a little bit more flimsy than your average DVD collection casing. Like the paper isn't as strong.

We are extremely disappointed with the purchase. the DVDs all focus on 1 agenda global warming and the narration centers around areas that are inaccessible to the general public. I would rate this in the negative number. We were expecting to learn information about the(1) geological information of various sites in the parks, (2) the various plants and wildlife that live in the parks, including how they co- exist where applicable and (3) opportunities that visitors have to view the various areas.

Comments by the narrator very interesting but hard to hear because the background music was too loud. This is especially true for viewers who use hearing aids.

This is an excellent series of documentaries. While I have not yet had time to view all of them, the couple I have seen are well-researched with exceptional photography. They present a clear picture of what the parks are all about.
An excellent series for naturalists and those who like to explore their world.

National Parks 10 DVD set
Pros
- Broad Appeal
- Entertaining
- Informative
Cons
- Difficult To Understand
- Distracting Narration
- Limited Appeal
Best Uses

I have been a guide and author for several National Parks. Yosemite is one of my favorites. I don't know a kind way to say this, but either the narrator of that DVD had a speech difficulty, or my copy has a flaw. Although the scenery was beautiful, the narration became so annoying we didn't even finish the DVD.

Not Enough Park Info on Them
Pros
- Some Were Okay
Cons
- Not Enough On Parks
- Some Are Very Limited
- To Many Nat Geo Ads
- To Much On Global Warming
Best Uses
We have been to many of these parks and I love seeing more info & pictures about them as well as the ones we have not visited. Some of these DVDs were good but most scaned quickly areas I wanted to see and overdid the National Geographic ads and the protect the earth issues. Some of the protection items need to be shown but not for the whole DVD.
