Imagine sailing around the world, collecting unique materials on remote beaches and far-flung destinations to use in creating your own jewelry designs. That’s exactly what the artisans of this stunningly simple bracelet do. Currently anchored in Bali“the morning of the world,” they call itthey work with local artisans to carve and buff natural cow’s horn into a handsome cuff bracelet. Its graceful curve is pierced with two rows of brass studs, complementing the rich grain of the horn.
Please note: This bracelet is not flexible. It may be helpful to measure your wrist, or to measure the opening of a cuff bracelet you already own to ensure this will fit comfortably.
Handcrafted in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Cow horn and brass. Approximately 6"L x 1 3/4"W. Opening is approximately 1 to 1 1/4" W.
For almost 40 years, Warren and Robbin have worked with their hands, building houses, yacht interiors, and cabinets. When they began cruising on a small sailboat, they downsized their materials, but not their creative ambitions: Today they create jewelry using natural materials, collaborating with artisans wherever they’re anchored. “It’s inspiring to be in Asia where the artisans are so gifted and the range of materials so varied,” Robbin says. “We feel this is where our work will be transformative, where it will sing.”
