What’s even more challenging than a spelling bee? The National Geographic Bee! The GeoBee motivates students in grades four through eight to learn all they can about the world and how it works. The Geo Bee has been held since 1989, and for the first 25 years Jeopardy’s Alex Trebek hosted the finals; now newscaster Soledad O’Brien has taken over. Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the GeoBee. Experience the excitement of National Geographic Bee finals with GeoBee DVDs and prepare to compete in the Society's annual geography competition yourself with atlases and reference materials, including educational maps and workbooks full of tips from Geo Bee winners on how to study. Teachers will find T-shirts, stickers, trophies, and more to get students excited for the competition and reward their achievements.
