Real aspen leaves are transformed into lacy, one-of-a-kind accents in this handcrafted jewelry. Leaves collected in the United States are selected for their size and the patterning of the veins, then rubbed over and over with a solution that washes the leaf’s “skin” off, leaving only the veins. This is then painted with molten copper and plated with 24-k gold. Each leaf takes about 7 hours from drying to gold-plating.
The necklace features a single aspen leaf accented with fresh water pearls and smoky quartz beads, all hung on a leather necklace.
Handcrafted in northern California. Necklace: adjustable 17" - 19"L; lobster clasp. Pendant: approximately 1"L.

Comments about Aspen Leaf Necklace:
I didn't buy the earrings but love the necklace. My only complaint is that the clasp is a bit difficult for my arthritic fingers. I wish the manufacturers would think of us older women who still like pretty jewelry.
