Meticulously handmade from start to finish by Chilean artisans, this ensemble places hand-cut turquoise, obtained from the Andes mountains, in stunning sterling silver settings. Its elegant simplicity recalls the motifs of the ancient Aztec, whose tradition held that turquoise brought prosperity. Made in Chile.
The tourquoise is real, not manufactured. The weight is very light, and compared to other necklaces like this, I was disappointed in it. It is very pretty., and of course I will wear it, but I will continue to look fora more substantial necklace.
I have searched many years for a turquoise necklace in this simple yet elegant form. I accidentally only ordered the necklace when I had intended to order the earrings in the same combination set. NG graciously honored the combination order and I anxiously await the earrings and can not wait to see them on my wife.
