Comments about National Geographic Garrison Globe:
Beautiful, well-made stand looks great in my living room. The globe required some construction which I did not expect, and took about an hour to put together. Very sturdy and stable.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

From National Geographic:Thank you for sharing your comments. We are delighted that you are happy with your purchase. The wood stand for this item is quite large, so it is shipped unassembled to keep the cost to ship the product at a reasonable level. The purchaser must attach the four legs to the wood horizon skirt (two screws each leg), and the black metal ring toward the bottom of the legs must be attached to the legs (four screws) for stability.
