National Geographic is proud to introduce our new line of globes for home, office, and classroom. Our floor-standing, tripod, and illuminated globes are all manufactured in the U.S. by Replogle, which has been making globes for more than 80 years. Each globe has more than 4,000 place names, printed on durable press-craft, plastic-impregnated paper.
Started in the founder’s basement at the height of the Depression, Replogle has grown to become the world’s largest manufacturer of fine globes. National Geographic’s award-winning cartography group was founded in 1915 and has helped shape our vision of the world through the art and science of mapmaking.
Each handsome globe comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Comments about Byrd Illuminated Desk Globe:
Packaging for shipment needs improvement. I had to add items from the first globe received to the next globe received to obtain a complete globe. Power source should be where the globe does not have to be disassembled to replace the batteries.
