Comments about National Geographic The World's Most Beautiful Places Special Issue:
I bought this because I've been to Torres del Paine in Patagonia(shown in the cover photo) six times, volunteering with Conservation Volunteers International Program. I thought that if National Geographic put Torres del Paine on the cover, they had excellent judgment, so I wanted to see what they said about the park and to see the full list of sites. I was a bit disappointed they did not include more written descriptions, but quite satisfied with the photographs and the list. Two other sites where I volunteer (Machu Picchu and Yosemite) are also on the top 100 list, as are a number of other places I've been lucky enough to visit. I'm sure one could debate endlessly about which sites should be on the top 100 list, but I would say that if a person were lucky enough to visit all these sites, they would indeed have lived a good life

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
