Reading articles from the past and using the photos and maps and the internet to compare changes over the years keep me occupied for hours on end.
Also, love to read all the old advertisements and even look up the companies to see if they are still in business and how they have changed.
I installed the product to my hard drive and it took a very long time, but I would load a DVD and then check back later and then enter the next when indicated. It probably took about 8 hours total.

Nat Geo Complete Historical Review so-so
Pros
- Great scenes
- Historical
- Includes All
Cons
- Correct instructions
- Difficult
- Open All The Way
- Slow
Best Uses
I probably wouldn't buy this again as I have not opened it since the day I got it. But mother-in-law might take to it as she loves Nat Geo. And this historical data is a million times easier to store than the magazines themselves. One thing I found out is it will not work will unless opened all the way up. I will check it out again and see if I like it better.

Empty terabytes
Very disappointed. I have terabytes of storage space and would love to transfer all these CDs to online storage but can't do that. This should be a no-brainer option given the current state of our technology.

I am incredibly impressed with this product. First time I saw it I wanted to buy it. I love that all the magazine issues are so readily available in such a compact and comprehensible way. I love how much paper this product saves and allows for an organized and minimal storage. No more piles of dusty magazines laying around! I am very surprised that other magazines aren't following suit. This idea is just brilliant.

Simple look up on a computer -- who wants to go through over a hundred years of magazines??? It is nice to have the magazines in any case, but for research, this can be beat.

Ok but a bit clunky
Should have an on-demand update option that an owner can select which years they want and have them burned to an update disc. Or, with all the cheap terabyte harddrives around, have an install all option on to hard disc with update subscription.

I tutor teenagers who struggle to make it in school. I have been a Learning Coach for 20+ years and no longer have to figure out where I need to stack my NatGeo magazines. My "kids" use it regularly during our sessions. Best product I ever purchased for my tutoring business and just for me as well!
