I bought this product primarily to keep my library collection up to date, but I was very pleased with the content, with the exception of , I feel, too many advertisements taking up too much page space that could be better devoted to more article content. Overall, the magazine is high quality and very informative.

I received the 2008 Complete National Geographic DVD set as a gift. This 2009 update was easy to install and provided access to the digital versions of all the great 2009 NG magazine content after just a few short minutes of installation time. Instructions included with the disk were clear and concise. I also purchased the 2010 update and expect that upgrade product to be just as effortless to install and enjoy.

Almost 1 year overdue, the 2009 content DVD delivers on DVD media what current owners were told would be available as a "downloadable update".

The CNG product barely measures up being based on Adobe Air, which is updated more frequently than Windows. Lots of usability issues and a very long list of bugs that the CNG staff don't seem too interested in fixing. Most of the issues are well more than a year old at this point, yet they still persist.

I've never once received a reply to any of my e-mails sent to CNG technical support. They are essentially useless, and support for this product seems limited to the FAQ and user-to-user support.
