Let creativity and electricity flow with these ingenious light-up building kits from National Geographic and Laser Pegs®. Each kit includes clear building blocks along with special LED-enabled blocks that light up when attached to the base via the peg cord. Engineer one of six ocean-going models—a manta ray, lantern fish, tiger shark, hammerhead shark, clownfish, or a deep sea explorer—or go free-form and design your own creation.

Laser Pegs kits are compatible with each other, and even with blocks from the leading plastic building kits, so kids are limited only by their imaginations.

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—small parts not for children under 3 years.

Ages 5 and up. Includes 62 clear building pieces and 10 light-up Laser Pegs plus the triangular power base. Requires 3 AA batteries or a 5-volt AC adapter, not included.

Comments about National Geographic Laser Pegs: Oceans:

Purchased for great-nephew because he asked for Lego light up blocks. This was cheaper and looked interesting because of the variety of projects. Dismayed to find only one set of instructions included; had to go to internet for the rest (I copied them and included with gift). Not sure if age was appropriate; he's 5, but had some difficulty putting some parts together.
