We gave this as a gift to our 6-year old granddaughter who is very interested in travel. She was enthralled by the gift and played with it even while other presents were left unopened, but it did not take long for her to mention countries that weren't featured among the 18 included in the game. The omissions included countries in our family's heritage, such as Greece and Norway, and places we've recently visited, such as Peru. In the end, she was disappointed.

This was advertised as electronic so I was expecting something similar to an electronic game with various pictures of different countries as information on countries was reviewed. The plastic case had a world map glued to it and that was it! It would be very boring for a 7 year old and up who are familiar and enjoy electronic games. Instruction would be needed with younger children for them to get anything out of it. I am unsure it would hold up since the world map is just glued on.

I play this with my 2 and a half year old twins. They love it and know all of their countires in just a few weeks of playing. Even their nanny has commented on how she is learning the map also. At this age my kids just have fun pressing the buttons but if i ask them where Kenya is they can tell me without even thinking about. All of my friends and family are amazed.
