These whimsical earrings celebrate that classic harbinger of spring, the robin, as well as the common belief that having a bird's nest in your home brings good luck. In German tradition, finding a bird's nest in one's Christmas tree meant luck and harmony for the coming year.
Artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, use thin copper wire to weave these tiny nests, in which stylized sterling silver robins perch contentedly. Dangling from a French hook, they move as you walk, like a branch swaying in the breeze.
Handcrafted in Nepal. 1 1/2"L including the French hook.
I was so disappointed with these ear rings. The nest was way too big & the bird was so skinny & set down in the nest so far that it could barely be seen. I will have to find a different gift as I would never give these anyone.
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
