Your neighborhood is at the center of it all in this personalized map puzzle, now available for Canadian addresses using the National Topographic System map base of Canada. This one-of-a-kind gift features a custom map that slowly reveals itself piece by piece as you assemble your neighborhood, starting with familiar areas and discovering new ones along the way. Be warned, there is no traditional guide print includedthe fun, and the challenge, comes from identifying familiar landmarks and building out from there. (We’ll look the other way if you decide to consult an online map for a hint.)
From any starting point, we'll create a 400-piece puzzle of a 14.5-kilometer north to south x 23.5-kilometer east to west area (9 x 14 miles). A house-shaped piece in the center represents the address you choose, and gives you an easy starting point. The map shows main roads, contour lines, water features, vegetation, and notable buildings. Comments about Personalized ''Your Town'' Map Puzzle - Canadian Edition:
The puzzle arrived quickly - which was great. But when it was finished it was disappointing. I gave it as a gift and was surprised to see the finished product. The pieces were very very similar in shape and with no photo, to go off of, the person putting it together had a very hard time. Pieces would fit together fine but were actually in the wrong place - but she couldn't tell because there were no street names on the map (or very few). Also it said your home is in the middle but the map covered so much area that about 5 square blocks were on that one piece. It would have been better if it covered less area, allowing for landmarks to be seen easier.
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
