Seema was born and raised in Kashmir where her love of designing began at a young age. “Ever since I can remember, I used to paint a lotfrom my mom's sari to our curtains and even our bedspreads,” she says. “I think I saw my calling and, after graduation, I took a five-year degree course in textile designing.” She worked as a designer for several years, and after starting a family, decided to leave the full-time working world and go into business for herself. Her own line of apparel and home furnishings has an emphasis on embroidery and bright colors.
