Hammocks have been used in Brazil for centuries, for sleeping and for transporting goods. In the northeast, many people sleep in hammocks every night. Elsewhere, they’re the ultimate symbol of tropical relaxation, especially in a style that’s wide enough for two. This striped, 100% cotton hammock is woven in Ceará, Brazil, in coastal colors, and finished with crocheted accents.
Handwoven in Brazil. Hardware not included. Bed size: approximately 65"W x 87"L. Total length, including ropes: approximately 146".
At first, our black cat was reluctant to jump into this hammock. That all changed when my wife was in it and she hopped into explore. Since then, her regal bearing prefers oversized silk pillows and fur blankets in the fall. It adds color and movement to our garden and is a gift we all treasure. tip: hang it low to the ground for all to enjoy.
