Titanic was designed by experienced engineers, using some of the most advanced technologies and extensive safety features of the time. She surpassed all her rivals in luxury and opulence. The first-class section had a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a squash court, Turkish bath, electric bath, and a verandah cafe. First-class common rooms were adorned with ornate wood paneling, expensive furniture, and other decorations. She set sail for New York City on April 10, 1912, with 2,223 people on board. Four days into the crossing, at 23:40 on April 14, 1912, the ship hit an iceberg and sank at 2:20 the following morning, taking 1,517 lives with her.

The Titanic disaster remains one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters and has captured the public imagination for 100 years. Commemorate the centennial of this historic event with a framed Titanic postcard, signed by Millvina Dean, the youngest passenger aboard and the last living survivor. The postcard is matted alongside an authentic 1912 wheat penny. Includes a certificate of authenticity.
