These days, most travel clocks have a backlight so you can read it at night. This clock has luminous hands that you can't read 30 min after lights out. It only uses one 357 battery, so that's probably why. Otherwise, it's a neat little clock.

I bought this for my frequent traveling as I need an alarm and a bedside time piece. So my main need was for a clock to read with my small night torch before the sun rose. The clock is very well made and high quality but the face is a bit too small. Or perhaps I should say the hands are difficult to distinguish. The hour hand in particular is hard to decipher. Maybe this is a young person's clock. Those older than 50 need clearer hands.

We cruise quite a bit and most cruise cabins do not have clocks. Sometimes we need a wake up alarm for early shore trips and this is great.
