I ordered this for my 94 yr old mother who I am caring for. We are still waiting for the first one to arrive. She has enjoyed this magazine for years. She recently asked for the "Travel" GEOGRAPHIC. She has received the first two magazines of the "travel" series but unfortunately .... I find that she does not care for the "travel" Magazine as much. She is looking forward to the regular one starting again.

To me there is nothing better than being able to sit with my National Geographic Magazine and read about all the unexplored places in the world. National Geographic Magazine takes me every where I have not been and only dreamed about. Their photographs alone make it worth every penny spent on my magazine subscription.

I first discovered NG as a child on the boyhood bookshelf of my maternal Uncle, a Dartmouth grad, and former US Ambassador. I poured over the bound volumes, absorbing the articles and photographs, and directly attribute my world view to the early introduction the world's wonders and diversity.

As such, for the past 10 years, I've gifted NG to a young person in my life in the expectation that he will benefit from the informed view the magazine provides. I'm certain he'll be a better man for it.
