Mongolian-style filigree is a laborious, delicate jeweler’s art whose lineage includes Fabergé eggs and the trousseaux of Qing dynasty empresses. Few artisans in China remain who can achieve this level of precise detail, but by adapting these time-honored techniques for modern tastes, craftspeople are able to continue making a living through this ancient art. Here, a 24-karat-gold-vermeil filigree medallion frames a deep red faceted garnet, and is paired with intertwined strands of freshwater pearls and dark garnet beads. Not available for shipment outisde of the U.S. and Canada.
Handmade in China. Necklace: 18"L. Pendant 1 1/4"W x 2"L.

Comments about Mongolian-style Filigree Necklace:
This was an anniversary gift from my husband which I am wearing for the anniversary luncheon we are having with friends.
Stunning necklace...I will use it on many occasions.
It is beautifully worked, unique and well crafted.
I have read that the Mongolian 24 karat overlay process is a bit delicate and can tarnish. I am keeping the necklace in a Plastic bag inside a silk bag. Not a bother but fair to note,
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
