I am abit irritated - not at the bag itself - this bag is really nice, very sylish and made well. I bought this as a gift. What really got me is the manner in which National Geographic shipped this item. I paid full price ([$]) and a couple days after I purchased it, the price was lowered to [$]. I know, it's just bad timing and no luck on my part. BUT, I paid $18.95 to ship it - which is alot of money - but, I thought - hey, it's an expensive item, a portion is going to a good cause,it will come in a nice sturdy box, etc. Well, the bag arrived by USPS (regular mail) in a plastic mailbag with NO bubble wrap around it on the inside. My mail carrier stuffed it into my mailbox,and I was in shock when I saw how it was shipped. This is NOT the US postal system's fault. It should never have been shipped out that way - especially for $18.95. The inside of the bag itself had some paper stuffing - but not enough to keep it rigid and nice and crease-free. I immediately re-stuffed it myself and hung it up to hopefully let it's shape come back. The result: It's passable and I will still give it as my gift. I'm not one to makle a fuss, and I don't want the hassle of returning it and then waiting for another. But, buyers beware of this company's shipping/handling costs.

I had fallen in love with the bag in the catalogs...expecting it to be buttery soft and a lovely soft bright red bag. Shocked to see it is a heavy bag made of a leather that might be used in a men's shoe...and is not bright at all...more of a dark cordovan color. All that being said, I will keep it and see how much use I get out of it.

This bag was a birthday gift to myself. I found a promo code that carved a little off the price but IMO the shipping fee was WAY too high. It just arrived so I haven't had time to carry it yet but I'm sure I'll love it, the purse I've been using is way too small for all my "stuff". My mother also has this bag. Based upon initial observation the quality appears to be excellent. Although I love the blue color I went with brown as it's more practical.

I bought this bag because of size and cross body strap. Have used it every week since January. Have traveled most weeks on business and have loved the bag and gotten many compliments. Just finished my first day of a weeklong vacation. Bag successfully carried my sunglasses, pocket camera and binoculars with no discomfort at all. Bad news was I ended up hiking for two hours in the rain. I now have a black cross body strap images on the FRONT AND BACK of a brand new top! It is the only bag I brought on the trip. Don't want to go home w more ruined tops if I end up in the elements again. Very disappointed and definitely did not expect this from this bag! If you buy it, do not plan on using it in the outdoors. Why did I do so? I have scoliosis. Carrying traditional backpacks or fanny packs cause too much discomfort in my back. The cross body style is great from that perspective.

I use this wonderful product everyday. Read all the reviews and purchased the red one. Beautiful cinnamon color! If I had one suggestion to make, it would be to make the zipper opening for the Main Pocket, just a little bit longer (it stops short of end to end), but nothing I can't live with!! Best bag I ever owned. Customer service was awesome when I called to make inquiries into this bag. I truly love it! Plan an buying another color in the fall!!

Leather is an organic material, and as such, exposure to excessive moisture from rain, perspiration, etc. may cause discoloration and/or damage to the product and to the clothing it comes in contact with. Suede is another natural fabric that can be damaged or cause staining under similar conditions. Fortunately, it is very rare that we hear of this happening with this bag.

Wish the design used silver instead of gold buckles on the black. Originally ordered the red and it was a terrible shade (unfortunate as I like to easily identify my bag). Exchanged for the black. It is amazing how much this bag holds without looking huge or bulky. I use it everyday since I like to have hands free or no fear of a bag slipping from my shoulder when shopping.

My husband and I saw this travel bag in your store in early December. My husband ordered it on line as a surprise. We travel quite a bit during the year and this bag fits the bill. Leather, a natural material, can discolor other fabrics when it is exposed to excessive moisture. For this reason, leather and suede products are best used in dry conditions.
