Product as delivered is not up to date
Following Quick Start instructions, I installed the product from Disc #1.
A stale version of the software was installed that could not be updated even with help from CNG Support.

Following Quick Start instructions, I installed the product from Disc #1.
A stale version of the software was installed that could not be updated even with help from CNG Support.
Loading the 6 image discs on my hard drive was predicted to take 60-90 minutes per disc -- it took 26-28 hours per disc on a Windows XP desktop computer that was doing little else.
Many of the product's features were not activated.
There were no instructions for installing the 2010-2011 image updates on Disc #7.
As a last resort, with a suggestion from CNG Support, I uninstalled the Disc #1 application and re-installed everything from Disc #7. Voila! The correct software version was there, all features were now active, and the 2010-2011 image update took less than 20 minutes.
I strongly recommend that you update your Quick Start instructions. Needless to say, I was close to returning as non-usable a product that is really quite impressive. However, with its many features, it's a challenge to figure out how everything works without even a rudimentary users manual.

Price for entire collection great. Seven disc version, however, difficult to load as install program written to install only first six discs. Full installation requires fast processor otherwise full day may be involved in loading. Great flixibility in where app is stored on computer. Easy retrival of information either by search or brwsing by both subject and year.

In the nutshell, great product but there was not enough explanation of how to install it. Internet gave me some useful guidelines.
I use it for the very private use since I'm very much interested in the geography and travel and world affairs.

The instructions do not include the 7th disc which contains the 2010 and 2011 year updates. They unpacked but would not install with the rest of the years. All I had was up to 2009. They need to redo the regular program every 2 years to include the updates, not have them on a separate disc.

I was looking forward to using this but, it is completely impossible to use. I can't do anything but shut my computer down. When I put the 1st DVD in I am unable to go anywhere. The page is way too big and I can't get to the controls which means I can't even exit the software - very maddening.
