Vintage Clock Radio with Weather

Price: $55.00 Sale Price:   $24.99

Item#:2000528

During the 1940s, radios were still the center of news and information in most households. This vintage-style radio captures that nostalgic look with a wooden case and blue backlight, but updates it with an LED digital display and current weather-sensor technology. The time also projects clearly onto the ceiling with the press of a button. Weather information displays indoor temperature and humidity.

Includes A/C adapter. Three AAA batteries, not included. 8 5/8"W x 4"H x 3 5/8"D.

I can't believe that anyone was happy with this product. Fortunately I gave it to a close family member and was quickly aware of what a poor product it was, and could send it back.

Comments about Vintage Clock Radio with Weather:

I bought this radio for my 80-year-old father because he always listened to the radio. When I saw it, I was shocked. The "knob" to turn the channels was fixed, like a kid's toy. It is nothing more than a cheap piece of plastic garbage. We had to send it back to get our money back.

Comments about Vintage Clock Radio with Weather:

We are returning the clock. The set up instructions are a very poor translation and almost incomprehensible. We set the month and date but the day said Friday, not Tuesday.
This was a gift for my husband and I was embarrassed that I'd given him this. After two hours of figuring out what the instructions really meant us to do, we gave up. It is not representative of the quality I expect for your merchandise and the price range.

It's made very Cheap. I look at as designed for men but made for women, you need a to be very gentle with the nobbs. I've had it less than a month and it will such itself off for no reason, and I just play the radio. If it breaks I Will Not Buy Another One of these... niether should you. I wonder if the purchaser from this company just looks at the product and goes "its pretty - buy 1 million" - Without ever personally testing the product?

Comments about Vintage Clock Radio with Weather:

First of all it is very difficult to set up. It is not a true clock radio, you only get chimes or buzz, no wake to radio and the chimes would not wake a baby. This is the second item I have purchased from National Geographic that I have been disappointed in and this one is going back.

          Do NOT buy this radio!

Comments about Vintage Clock Radio with Weather:

This device does not meet the most basic requirements of a bedside clock radio. You cannot see the time at night without pushing a button to light the dial; when you do turn on the light, the screen is so small that you can't see it without glasses; the radio does not turn on when the alarm is set and you instead get an annoying chirping sound; the time shown when projected on the ceiling is different than the time shown on the front dial; and the tuner is on a single gear so that precisely tuning a station is very difficult. Do not buy this product if you want a bedside radio.

Comments about Vintage Clock Radio with Weather:

This radio is very charming and it sounds good too, but I am sending it back. The controls are awkward, the directions are obviously written by a non-English speaker, and I found it difficult to set up and operate. The lamp that projects onto the ceiling is hard to see. Also, it is supposed to display the outside temperature and humidity but there is no sensor to place outside. It appeared to be displaying the temp inside my house. One more thing, the tab that holds the battery "door" in place broke off when I touched it.
