This is the Fenix PD32G2, the 2nd most powerful light from their PD series. It has a Cree XP-G2 (R5) LED with 4 levels of brightness (5, 70, 135, 340 lumens) and 2 special modes (Strobe for self-defense and SOS). At the highest output the light can reach up to 150 meters and has a run time of more than 2 hours. At the lowest setting it can last almost 250 hours! It literally lights up the whole football field at the highest setting. When walking the dog at night, having this little 'portable sun' is very comforting.
I am a big fan of Fenix flashlights and the PD35 (850 lumens) is my everyday carry. The build quality of Fenix lights is second to none. They are water proof up to 2 meters submerged for 30 minutes, and can withstand the impact of a 1 meter drop, perfect for outdoor/indoor activities. When I saw NetGeo has it on sale with free shipping, I picked up a few more immediately, so my family members now each carries one in their backpacks, purses, etc.
PD32 takes either two (non-rechargeable) CR123A batteries or a single 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery. The latter is recommended and in the long run will save you a lot of money. I use Orbtronic 3400 mAh protected 18650 battery, one of the best in the market. It also gives extra long run time compare to the CR123As.
The product description given here at NatGeo is way too brief, and does not do justice to this great little light. If you are interested, visit Fenix's own web site (www.fenixlight.com) for more detailed information.
You will not be disappointed with this light. Highly recommended.
