Railroads have had strict standards for timepieces since the mid-1800s. This replica brass station master’s watch reproduces one from 1908 and features “approved for railroad service” features such as an open-faced dial with the stem at 12 o’clock. Made for display in this glass-domed case, as it would have been kept in a station master’s office. Not intended for precision timekeeping.
