Get the best optics in the lightest package with our 10 x 25 Waterproof Monocular. It brings birds and wildlife into focus, and it's so small that it's easy to toss in a backpack or pocket without weighing you down. With a near focus of just four feet, it's great for viewing insects too. Plus it's waterproof, so there's no fear of damaging the lenses no matter what the weather conditions. A monocular can come in handy on urban adventures too. Use it to zoom in on architectural details or frescos when visiting the world's great cathedrals and monuments. Please note that monoculars are less suited than binoculars are to viewing moving objects, such as birds in flight or sporting events, due to the comparatively narrower field of view.

To be honest, I was disappointed when it arrived. First it is larger than expected (as another reviewer mentioned), second the optical quality is not the best, and finally, it feels 'cheaply' made. I had higher hopes for a Nat Geo item. If it were to spend most of its time in a drawer and only get occasional use, it's ok for that. I needed more quality, so it got returned.
