Anyone, at any time, can fall victim to nature's raging furies. Around the globe, hurricanes, tornadoes, and typhoons strike without mercy and often without warning. In the last century, more than half a million lives were lost to the violent forces of cyclones, tropical storms, and the wicked weather swirling in and around them.
National Geographic chronicles some of the world's most shocking storms with gripping footage and scenes of heart-thumping, real-life drama: roofs ripped from houses, trees snapped like toothpicks, and trucks tossed about like children's toys. From twisters sweeping across the Midwest's "Tornado Alley," to the vicious force of Florida's Hurricane Andrew, to the deadly powerful forces of nature are among the most powerful forces on earth. Before the next killer storm, scientists are rushing to unlock the mysteries of the cyclone!

I bought this video in VHS form at a garage sale back in the 90s and was totally stunned at what it contained. It highlights what a really a tornado is, what it's made of, and what damage it can do. Also it highlights the same for hurricanes. It takes us back to Hurricane Andrew, since this is an old video. It reveals how this storm was born, what was inside it; it even shows planes flying right into the eye of it! And it also has an interview with a man and his family who actually witnessed the hurrican itself. This film is a powerful testimony to take immediate action when warned of storms like these. I highly recommend it to storm enthusiologists.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
