Experience the devastating power of explosive volcanoes, ground-buckling earthquakes, deadly tornadoes, hurricanes and tsunamis as National Geographic heads into the field with scientists who risk their lives to study these fearsome natural phenomena.
Featuring over five hours of programming, Restless Planet captures extraordinary scenes of destruction from the air, the ground and from inside a tornado and the moving, human side of the story from tales of heroism and tragedy to dedicated teams of experts racing to understand and ultimately better predict the deadly forces of nature.
This collection includes: Nature’s Fury, Tornado Intercept, Tsunami: Killer Wave, Volcano: Nature’s Inferno, and Storm of the Century.
Not available for shipment outside of the U.S. and Canada.
My great disappointment with this collection is that it's sold with a 2011 publication date, but that is only the date the various disks were collected. The individual episodes vary, and some are significantly older. So disappointing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Four of these five DVDs were excellent. The photography was superb. I especially liked the segment on volcanos.I am a huge fan of National Geographic and hate to critical, but the reason I only gave this product four stars was because of the DVD on Tsunamis. It was mostly reporting rather than actual footage. I know tidal waves are probably impossible to predict or photograph, but I was hoping for more.
