Join National Geographic photographer Tim Laman and ornithologist Ed Scholes into the jungles of one of last wild places on earthNew Guinea. Far-flung islands, impenetrable jungle and extreme elevations all create areas of isolation where ordinary birds have evolved into some of the most beautifully bizarre species on earth. Digital explorers on an old-fashioned quest, Tim and Ed have survived everything the jungle has to throw at them to become first in the world to capture all 39 species of Birds of Paradise on film.

Birds Take 2nd Fiddle to Researchers
Pros
Cons
Best Uses
Comments about Winged Seduction: Birds of Paradise DVD:
There is an increasing trend in nature programs to extol the efforts of the researchers rather than concentrating on what was learned about the subject of the program. Less than half of this film is devoted to actual footage of bird behavior. It needs more about the birds themselves and less about the researchers reactions to the effort obtaining the information.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Stunning!
Comments about Winged Seduction: Birds of Paradise DVD:
Watch this DVD to see the most incredible, surreal birds you could ever imagine! Just as Australia is home to its own unique species of animals, these birds of the remote jungles of New Guinea can be found nowhere else on Earth. Some of their bizarre showy decoration seems like it could even be a detriment to survival (it could get the birds tangled in nearby branches, for instance). It's truly hard to comprehend that they're real!

Good photography, no enough of birds.
Comments about Winged Seduction: Birds of Paradise DVD:
I didn't care for the adverts for other videos to start the DVD. Bird photos shouldn't have been added at the end. Way too much on just getting to the birds and human participation. Over all it was good but not great. Photos and bird videos WERE great though.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
