The Great Migrations is a simply brilliant documentary series.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys nature or good photography. The breathtaking photography, shot over two years, is some of the best that I have seen National Geographic produce.
Dynamic images that capture the true feeling of the moment is tied together wonderfully by top-class music to give the viewer an experience like no other.
Narration tells the story beautifully, although it is not overly descriptive or factually.
Here's a breakdown of The Great Migrations:
Photography: 10/10
Music: 9/10
Narration: 7/10
Information: 7/10
This is, in my opinion, the best documentary series that I have ever seen. A must see for anyone with the slightest interest in nature or photography!

Lovely set of documentaries, with a "making" DVD. Stunning imagery, with engaging narration. The only negative thing that I would say is that it is a little too bloody and gory at times, but then, Nature's like that!

Color is amazing. Baldwin's narration Superb. This set appeals to all age groups. My 87 year old father loves it as does my 14 year old granddaughter. I could watch it again and again !

This series of DVDs are totally worthwhile collecting. I'm a big fan of natural science and have seen a lot of great images and documentaries but I'm still moved by the videos in these DVDs. How people capture such woderful magic behaviours of wild animals is just amazing!

Just like the title states, great migrations, thats what you see. but i did get to learn about other unknown animals, the crab that lives on land and animals mating rituals. pretty great buy.
