Comments about National Geographic 9th Edition Atlas of the World - Hardcover with Slipcase:
Can usually find location of places that are in the current news, even though the location is rather obscure. I had difficulty finding Bermuda in the Atlantic Ocean. It was shown in a separate cut with some Carribean Islands, but it did say it was located in the mid- Atlantic. I enjoy using an atlas to see the big picture and also for minute details. This atlas does a better job than others in this regard.

Comments about National Geographic 9th Edition Atlas of the World - Hardcover with Slipcase:
I have wanted a Nat'l Geographic Atlas for a long time. When this came with a reduced price, I ordered it for myself. When it came I was amazed at all the additional maps and information. It is a treasure. My only problem is that at age eighty-eight it is a bit hard to hold. But I will work that one out. I am so
glad to have it at long last!

Comments about National Geographic 9th Edition Atlas of the World - Hardcover with Slipcase:
I'm kind of a map nut, so this is a great gift for me. No one does maps like National Geo, their cartography department is the best. I've been buying maps from them for many years, always had them for my children when they were growing up. The is THE Atlas! And the sale price was excellent!

Comments about National Geographic 9th Edition Atlas of the World - Hardcover with Slipcase:
This is one of the most thoroughly researched and visually stunning Atlases I have ever seen. I grew up with National Geographic reference books and am a self-affirmed map fanatic (I create them as a Freelance Illustrator and an Information Designer). I must commend the front section of this reference for its incredible density & design. The visual representations of everything from growing water scarcity to urban and global migration to oceanic currents is detailed, easy to understand and beautifully executed. As always, the traditional geographic maps themselves are timely and absolutely jammed with info. Keep in mind this book is quite large and a bit awkward to read without a desk, but all in all, this book is a treasure.
